A warm welcome awaits friends old and new at The Royal Oak. Pete and Chris are bucking the trend as far as current the pub trade is concerned.
By focusing on what makes a pub a part of the community, and listening to what their customers want, The Royal Oak has become a thriving music venue even as the credit crunch bites hard. The Royal Oak already attracts some of the most popular names from the UK Country Circuit and as the year progresses more named artistes will be visiting these here parts. From 5pm every Sunday the pub comes alive to the sounds of good old Country Music and about once a month we have a change as the music leans more towards Irish, but still with a country feel and flavour.
Tuesdays is the night for anyone who can sing a song or play an instrument to have a go themselves as Pete provides the equipment for an OPEN MIC NIGHT
Thursday is Rock Night with rock artistes offering a fantastic night out. Artistes include Jon Stringer and Jay Stone who rock the Oak from 8:30pm plus the occasional local band.
MOST Fridays have become Band Nights with a variety of visiting bands playing the upstairs room. A small charge on the door helps cover the cost of travel for the bands involved.
Saturdays: Occasional entertainment from a variety of artistes. More information as soon as available.
